This was a last minute move, booked within the company's 7 day window. After a long and detailed conversation with the Customer Representative about the size of my storage units (2) and their contents, I agreed to use this company for my move and accepted their quote of $1,842.47. I understood that I would need to pay for any additional cubic feet so I had over estimated my inventory, just in case. The contract was emailed to me and electronically signed. Once my credit card was charged a deposit of $430.00, I could no longer access the Fast Trucking contract in my email. Therefore, unable to re-read the details of the contract or keep for my records.
When the driver and his team arrived, they were very pleasant and professional. After inspecting the contents of my storage units the driver contacted their dispatcher. I was told that the cost of the move would be another $1,000.00. I was then asked "How much is your budget" to which I replied $1300.00. I also learned that my inventory would be taken to Charlotte, N.C. , off loaded and stored then reloaded and shipped to my final destination. My pick-up and delivery times were changed 3 times. At this point, I refused their service. I was unable to receive a refund of my deposit even though the cancellation was within their 72 hr. cancellation policy. Fast-trucking claimed that I needed more time to pack. NOT TRUE. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. This is a classic "bait & switch". Horrible experience. I eventually rented a U-Haul and made the move myself for $600.00.
