Very disappointed with this company, especially after they assured us they would do everything to make our move from CO to FL as easy as possible. We paid them $3000 and they didn't do anything. They hired some moving company out of Denver and then we had to pay them another $10,000. They broke my son's bed, our box springs, a book case, several dishes, an electric scooter, a side table, lost 3-5 boxes with children's items and picture books, and lost a $300 ladder. Every day we find more things that are missing. Dougherty Brothers told us specifically not to take apart our beds, because the moving company would do it. When the moving company took apart our beds they lost screws and bolts and then could not put the beds back together. They had no idea how to resemble the beds and we couldn't do it, because we were told not to take them apart. When the movers arrived in FL to unload our items, it started raining. They left our boxes and furniture out in the rain. All of our books, photo albums and pillows got wet. (See picture below of busted open box.) The mover's insurance only offered us $75 to cover all the broken, lost and damaged items!!! We asked Dougherty Brothers to refund some of our money that we paid to them to cover the damaged and lost items and they did not respond. They did not do anything for us to pay them $3000. We will never use a moving company again. We will do it ourselves. Dougherty Brothers was a huge mistake and I encourage you to do more research than I did before hiring anyone
