They pride themselves on “where quality counts.” They are have numerous awards for their exceptional and responsible service. Currently on the Better Business Bureau, or the BBB they have an A+ rating. They offer residential, long distance and commercial moves. Per the US Department of Transportation, or the DOT, they are operating close to fifty trucks and counting.
George Moving & Storage also loves to give back to the community, and supports Habitat for Humanity, in- need families and veterans. They want to do as much as they can to give back and go the extra mile. They know it is not always about moving from A to B, there is a lot in between that they can do to help out.

We used George in a corporate move from State College to Dallas. I would never recommend using their service to anyone. The experience of moving with George was at best a mixed bag. When they came to load our belongings they destroyed multiple items before getting them out of the house. They over promised and under delivered in regards to timing failing to get our home empty before our closing. After doing so the misrepresented when they would pick up the remaining belongings leaving them in a home we had sold past our closing in a manner in which we were not able to communicate to our buyers and so they were unable to retrieve all items. The corporate staff were polite and helpful although unwilling to do anything of significance to remedy the problems we encountered. Communication about delivery of our belongings was haphazard at best as we were told conflicting dates from the driver and the office representative. When our items finally were delivered the behavior of the driver was very problematic as he slept in the truck for a large portion of the work. We ended up with more than 20 items lost or damaged a large portion of which they refused to cover. John (the driver and crew leader) refused to leave our home on delivery without a signed delivery form which was then used to justify refusing to cover items this was done while I was out of town and only my wife was present.
We recently used George Moving & Storage and I am not a satisfied customer! We had set up the move based off the delivery schedule. We explained multiple times we had to reserve the time frame with our building. It was originally set for 12-4. However, we received a call around 3pm stating they would not be able to arrive during our window. We rescheduled for Monday as we can not move on weekends. We took off work again and called their office around 2 as we had not heard from them. They told us they would be there around 3. We did not hear from them again and called their office who said they would be there before 5. They then called at 5pm to explain delivery would not be happening at all that day! Their excuse was the truck broke down and had to be towed back to their warehouse. Their staff refused to answer our calls or return calls the following day. I am still waiting on a phone call from someone in their management team and will be sharing our experience with everyone I can.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. They were supposed to come deliver between the window of 12-4. They drivers did not show up. They kept calling to push back the time frame. Finally, they said it would be the following day (Tuesday). They kept hanging up the phone when we asked for a time. We were informed the driver had refused to complete deliveries. Stay far away from their lies.
George Moving & Storage was a great company to work with. The estimator explained all of my costs to me upfront and come moving day there were no surprises in our balance. Everything went great, our house was packed up, loaded, and then unloaded at our new house within two days. I would recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality movers at a low cost!
After living in our home for 45 years, our daughter convinced us to move closer to her and her family. The thought of packing away our home and trusting someone to move our most prized possessions, was very scary, to say the least.
