When my daughter Marry started his new life with his husband after their marriage in their new house, I needed a moving company for the shifting of furniture and other home appliances to their new house from the shop at which my daughter bought it. I asked to my neighbor, who recently came from the Los angle. He advised me to hire Road Runner Moving and Storage Company for this cause. I call them for the movement of home items. They provided a fast service at very low rate ($1500) with a team of professionals and experts moving guys. All the home items were moved without any dents and damages. Their workers were very hardworking named Mitch, John and Charles. I am very happy to use Road Runner Moving service. Good Job!!

TLDR: bad communication, missing boxes, terrible experience Don’t let them try to sell you on their “positive” DOT record or number of trucks on the road. Pickup was 2.5 hours after the window. I called all day for updates and they kept saying they needed to hear from the dispatcher. Window was 11-4 pickup happened at 6:30pm. Stuff was picked up on Friday. I didn’t hear until Tuesday about any sort update on delivery window. The driver was contracted out in a Penske truck and they gave me the wrong number to get in contact. Still had to find the mysterious dispatcher for an updated number. Heard nothing until the driver called me Wednesday evening to confirm a Thursday delivery. Upon delivery two boxes were missing. The drivers initial reaction was you must be wrong until I asked him to pull out the inventory, pointed out the number of boxes pictured by the company and showed him that they were not there. Called road runner about the missing boxes and they said they needed to do a warehouse investigation that could take 1-3 weeks and then I would be able to file a claim. Boxes still missing, no communication from road runner, if I file a claim it is through a third party website.

Bill of Lading Number (Job #): 3419892 Pickup Date: 9/30/2018 Delivery Date: 10/13/2018 Incident Description On 9/30/18, Road Runner Moving and Storage also known as Real Movers Moving and Storage picked up the delivery from the address in Plantation Florida. While loading the items one of the movers Marcus (who had been paid to pack and ship) broke the glass top of a metal desk and damaged the desk as the glass fell on it and shattered. This incident was reported to the company and noted on the documentation they provided on that day. We were also charged an additional $1567.36 on moving day because of an overage and told we wold have to pay that when the items were delivered despite giving the company beforehand an inventory of the items we would be taking and receiving an estimate. We spoke with the General Manager/Operations Director Michael Miller and Assistant Michelle Brown to resolve this issue of the broken desk and overage. They went back and forth with us but eventually offered $140.71 to resolve the issue. We had not signed off on the paperwork to do so when we noticed that the items which were said to be delivered on 10/2/18 and then 10/3/18 had not arrived. Our focus shifted to when was the actual items were going to be delivered. We were promised a additional delivery date of 10/5/18 and later changed to 10/6/18 but the items were again not delivered. We again were promised additional delivery dates of 10/9/18 and then 10/10/18. The items were again not delivered. We received a call on 10/9/18 from Michael Miller that there had been a crash involving the moving truck with the items being delivered over 24 hours prior although he had spoken to us during that period and never said anything. We were upset and extremely concerned by this incident. Mr. Miller assured us that there would be no issues with putting forth a claim and on several times stated that the owners of the company had approved for the claim to be made through their cargo insurance because it was a crash which would replace the items for their full value and not the movers insurance which was 0.60 per pound per item. We asked for the insurance information, police report, and accident details but they refused to provide the information to us. We also asked to speak with the owners of the company or contact them in some way. They both refused and stated that was not possible. We were again provided with delivery dates of 10/11/18 but that did not occur. We also asked for a copy of the inventory list that had not been provided and once received it noticed that it had generic pictures listed and not the actual boxes or images on that day which was brought to the company's attention - Mr. Miller and Ms. Brown. They assured us that they would check the images but never did and came back and stated that is all they had. Mr. Miller eventually gave us the phone number for an officer in South Carolina on 10/12/18 who we contacted about the accident. He stated that the accident was huge and that the trailer was split open after the crash. He stated that the frame was damaged and items scattered about on the ground. He also stated that the moving company put a tarp over the trailer but did not unload it until the next afternoon/evening on 10/9/18 so it sat out there unsecured after the accident on 10/8/18. The items were finally delivered on 10/13/18 and almost all of them are broken and missing. Please help us as now the moving company still refuses to put through the claim with their insurance or provide the information that we requested. We were told that other families were also affected and are devastated and have nothing.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU LIKE BEING TRICKED AND LIED TO, IF YOU LIKE PEOPLE BEING 5 HOURS LATE FOR YOUR PICK UP, IF YOU LIKE NOT KNOWING WHERE YOUR STUFF IS OR WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE DELIVERED AND IF YOU LIKE BEING TOLD BY THE MANAGER OF THE COMPANY THAT YOU DO NOT MATTER....THAN SURE, USE THESE GUYS. BUT IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT A SMOOTH MOVE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
