If all of my problems are rectified, I will update this review. My move Jochas Moving & Delivery was mediocre. I could have gone without some of the movers taking smoke breaks every five minutes during pick up it did leave an uneasy taste in my mouth. When I tried to speak to customer service about this they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. The kind of brushed me off. The delivery to take longer than expected and I had to sleep on the blowup mattress for a little over a week. All of the items did arrive without damage.
Actual movers with Jochas Moving & Delivery were amazing and very respectful. But, I was unhappy that they added some extra charges without notifying me until they provided me the bill after the move. I assumed I would be paying from arrival to departure, but then they added on additional time stating they actually charge you from office to office (which was an extra hour and a couple hundred dollars). This is not stated on their website under their policies, and not one person notified me of this until they literally handed me the bill with the disclaimer at the bottom that states this. When I contacted their customer service to ask why this is not mentioned on their website, and only applied to your bill when you receive it AFTER they completely load everything, the customer service agent let out a huge annoyed sigh, and said "UGH" (as he was completely annoyed I was asking questions). I was very unhappy about that and feel that this is very sneaky. Most people probably do not even notice this, as to why they most likely just get away with it.
God bless Jochas moving and delivery team for handling my belongings so professionally! I cannot thank them enough for making an extra effort to keep my belongings intact during the move. They were dealing with a lot of breakables, collectibles and valuable items and everything was delivered in one piece. In spite of several risky and slippery situations due to the bad weather, they kept everything under control. They also provided me with some good tips about storing some temperature sensitive items. Amazing organization, skills and proactivity! I have already recommended their services to my sister and her husband. Just keep up the good work!
Poor customer service! Do not use! My move was going fine (the guys they sent were very nice). However, through total negligence they broke a suitcase they were moving. As they were using the mechanical lift to put it on the truck, they let the suitcase wheel slip between the truck and the mechanical lift. snapping the wheel off the suitcase and making it unusable. I contacted them with a claim for the damages and sent them an ad for the exact same suitcase (down to the brand and size) for about $400. They contacted me and offered me $30. When I told them how low that was, they asked, "what was my counteroffer." Realizing the suitcase was used I counter-offered "about $100," which I thought was reasonable. They never got back to me. I sent a second email, and they ignored that too. Obviously their way of doing business is to ignore customers. Do you want a mover who does that? I do not!
