Planet Van Lines

I bought Marty the sales' rep pitch about how Planet Van Lines would take excellent care of family heirlooms hook, line and sinker. Warning! Planet Van Lines is a broker and they contract with various delivery services. That was not clear when booking. I now know the name of one of services, but even on PVL paperwork, they don't list who actually does the deliveries. Unfortunately, the subcontractors did not sticker our items and three invaluable family heirlooms that are sentimental and irreplaceable are now floating around on a truck somewhere. Had to call an entirely different company to fill out a form with movingclaims.net. There is no one person from Planet Van Lines who was willing to get on the phones with all the dispatches for the trucks to immediately help us find our items. It is a soulless experience. This must happen all the time because it was a robot, angry and defensive response from customer service. I wish I had read these reviews before booking with Planet Van Lines.

These guys were a rip off from the very beginning. We were given an ‘accurate’ quote by a guy named ‘Adrian’. Well that turned out to be BS. Our moving cost jumped 70% when the movers showed up. We even reduced the amount of things we planned on taking by about half. They told us it would be 21 days from the first available date of our delivery. It’s been long past that, and still no delivery, also no phone calls, emails, anything. We paid for a service that they never provided. They have our money and our things. These guys are criminals

Several weeks ago I started to work with a Gentlemen named Marty, he seem pleasant enough and discussed our moving from Nevada to Tennessee. Because our house is on the market, there are nearly 24 pages of photos giving first hand visual review of our house item, Marty and I had discussed the entire house with the great consistency and openness and transparency. He seem to be honest fellow during our discussion and we felt somewhat safety this pint. He also claimed that he was class moving lines, and “NOT” a third party broker. On the moving day a truck and four Mexican fellows can in a 24 foot truck, walked into our house and spoke to my wife and stated, I do not think that I can move these items from your house, but for $18,589 more I could do this and but, your house goods will be taken back to California somewhere near San Francisco in a storage area, my wife panic and call me on the phone, because I was at the doctors office, I advised her that as soon as I finish with 30 I will be back at the site! When I arrived I saw at lease 5 Mexican men seating and standing around the garage as they were waiting around, my wife’s appear extremely upset and sacred to what was going on, I than call Mr. Marty “last name Unknown”, only that he lives in South Carolina, I than got a call from another person out of Boise Id, Ms, Torres, who stated that she represents the follows that is at our home! And “NOW” that our estimate is much higher due more box’s and so on. NOW, that was a fabrication and a total lie. Plus they would had to pack up the entire house which we had already completely done, other than the furniture. Please understand Marty and I discussed this in a full. As I explained to Marty many days before. I knew something was right with this entire situation are 5 men and a small truck drives to your house. Remember their was never added boxes at all these scam artist made this entire scheme up in order to no other reason, was to commit a Criminal act. Please do yourself a favor do the research before you ever use these people, they just happen to scam artist, with intent to screw you over.

The worst, did not show up, squabbled over a 24 hour delay after they took the cash, boarded pets and felt they should discount the lousy $100 boarding fee for a corporate move! DO NOT USE!

Planet Van Lines completed my 3bedroom move and I just received my items. I worked with Jason and Ryan to get everything setup. Move day went pretty good. I had a piano and they did a great job packing it up. I packed my own boxes so it did not take them long to load up. When my stuff arrived a week later it was a different crew but they unloaded. 1 box had some glass break and they offered to pay for a new set but I just replaced it myself. Communication was always really good. I would use them again.
