FNVL needs to be aware of what kind of people are coming to pick and drop off people's items. Guys who picked my items, great. Guy who delivered, rude and unprofessional. Brings a damn semi to an apartment complex after I was asked to confirm about a 53foot trailer. Argues with me about getting into the complex and says he is going to take my stuff and charge me to put it on a smaller vehicle. Finally makes it into the complex after an hour and 15 minutes. Then we taking out my items I can tell items were just jammed into the truck haphazardly. Items were missing as well. While some people during the process may have been helpful, I will never again use this company due to the inconsistency in customer service.

When I contacted FNVL I asked for a visit for volume estimation and they said they have a reliable system for such calculation: the 1st calculation was done and after listing all home goods they brought with an calculated volume that now I understand was very sub-estimated in order engage customer with a lower price.

First estimation was 1550 cu-Ft with a cost of around 8000$. I signed a contract with a rate of 6.24$/cu-ft and made a down payment of 3500$ with order number 3028288.

One week before day of moving the FNVL Quality manager called me to check again all stuff to make sure that truck capacity is the right; and of course recalculating the cost: at first one can thing that difference is around 5-10% but in my case it was 25%, but the cost was increased by 50%, now the cost of moving was 12000$ and I made another down payment of 750$.

One says: ok I think I could make a mistake listing stuff initially but now number should very precise.

They said 2-3 days before moving dispatch will contact to you to reconfirm date, time vehicle capacity: "it never happened", no one called to me neither by email. I tried to contact quality manager (never reply immediately any call), I texted him and also sent him an email: no answer at that moment.

Later (during the night before moving) quality manager contacted to me via text msg saying that he would fix that thing to make it possible moving in the morning of next day: I felt like he was doing a favor to me.

Day of moving came, a truck of 4000cu-ft of a company called Condor moving service showed up; it was not “First National Van line “ which means that FNVL was doing intermediation for the service, it was a company called "Condor Moving Services". That company proceed to pack and load stuff; and surprise : there was not 2000cu-ft but 2950cu-ft: a difference of 1.9 times from original and about 1.5 times of 2nd calculation.

My budget for moving was around 12,000$ and now I had to pay 19,000$ and no flexibility with any volume in truck as said by the seller at the moment of contracting .

Once again I tried to contact quality manager, with no answer and I texted him about the situation (no reply again). Suddenly supervisor told me he won’t charge such percentage as a favor for me and he asked for tips to the guys that packed stuff (at the end of the day I paid same % as tip).

The goods were moved as planned; but since truck had such size (4000 cu-ft), it was impossible to get to new location therefore a shuttle service was needed. The driver called to me to tell me that such extra service would cost other 2500$ for it (as it was stated in original contract with FNVL).

Driver also told me that I could do by myself but he would deliver my stuff without blankets and protection at the place of delivery and I would take the accountability of moving without proper protection and also reassembly stuff at home: I tried to call quality manager and also texted: Never replied.

I had in mind contracting a U-haul truck with professional movers that would cost around 1200-1300$; however T&C 's commented by driver in regards of furniture protection made me take his last option

On the day of delivery I saw exactly I had in mind: driver came with the 1600 cu-ft capacity U-haul truck and 3 helpers that Never had worked with moving goods (3 handyman).

At the end I had to pay 21,814$ for this service which was quite a lot different of initial price and my budget.

Later, I upload a review to different web pages and a FNVL contacted to me to start an arbitration process, then a 3rd parties company "Powellaribtrationgroup" contacted to me to revew the case and work on my behalf. After 7 weeks of wasted time there was no added value, this guy said what I already knew "you have a signed contract and real volume is correct", so Powell artibration group supposly negotitated a rebate but at the end it was a ridicolous amount which I rejected.

    Final comments

1-It is understood that the rate of 6.24$ is used to cover small differences (5-10%) of original quotation, but 90% difference is a big mistake and I feel that I overpaid for such service

2-FNVL original Volume estimation is much less than real one, it is done ir Order to sell their service

3-Volume system used by FNVL was not reliable at all since there was a big difference on final volume in regards of origin and 2nd calculation

4-FNVL uses 3rd parties company for the service, they are intermediates and get the money for selling the service

5-FNVL is the worst on communication with customer

6-Quality manager provided poor support when needed

7-The supposed arbitration was a wasted time, I personally felt this guy was like another FNVL employee.

This is my first and last time I use FNVL for transportation of home stuff and I don’t recommend this company for transportation of goods due the way how they sell their service.

This is the second time First National Van Lines has moved me locally, and I am still impressed by their courtesy and professionalism. We just moved and we used First National Van Lines. Jacob was awesome to deal with setting up the move and Eric was excellent as well. Very Professional. Took very good care of all of our property. Caused absolutely no damage to anything. Answered all questions and worked their butts off. I would recommended them 100 out of 100 times and use them again if ever needed. Don't call anyone else you wont be disappointed!

First National Van Lines recently moved our 2 bedroom stuff. Being a military brat, I've experienced a lot more moves than most people...in addition, they were moving my items out of 2 storage units to our new home. I was VERY impressed at their strength, stamina & speed without damaging any of my belongings. Adam, Jacob and Eric were an AWESOME team that made my move an incredibly easier ordeal than I could imagine. The company was referred to me by friends who've used them multiple times & I hope I can refer as many people as possible....WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! THANKS First National Van Lines.

Very pleased with the job guys did. They called when they were on the way. I showed them all the things that need to be moved and they made a plan accordingly. They had a great plan on what to put first and what last. I had a lot of smaller boxes and some furniture with glass and the they took a great care of it. They covered furniture with blankets and arranged everything in the truck safely. They had to take 2 trips and they were never upset at anything. They had great smiles even when I was changing my mind.

We used First National Van Lines yesterday to move. Adam and crew arrived at exactly 9:30 as had been agreed, and moved the items efficiently and with care. We travelled together to the final destination, and when they lost site of my car they would pull over and wait until I caught up. While unloading the truck they took the same care they had when loading it. We were very impressed by these 2 young men, and wanted to let the owners know that they are a real asset to the company. From first phone call to end of service, this has been a very good experience.

Best experience with movers so far. Adam's team was really professional and friend. I really liked that they didn't cut corners --- we have a pretty awkward shaped L couch and they decided to dismantle in for safer transport. Really thorough protecting my stuff (which is not always the norm -- we lost a lot of stuff in our last big move). Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I was really worried about such a long distance move, but First National Van Lines took care of my family. We basically had to haul our entire 2 bedroom house the distance of the East Coast. To our relief everything we sent off was unpacked into our new home with great care and attention. We had a lot of older items that needed special attention and they accommodated us kindly. We could really use our time to focus on the other taxing parts of moving your whole life over to another state. I am loving it in our new home and a big part of my piece of mind during this process was our choice of moving company. We would easily recomendo First National to anyone contemplating such a big change.

We recently moved interstate. Amazing sales pitch to lock you in.We had got a quote for an end to end move(packing & unpacking entire house) Still ended up getting overcharged and with damaged items. We learnt it hard way to never book through a BROKER company!! For our queries regarding shipment the customer care never explained reason for over charge, claims of damaged item and when we refused to pay they wouldn't take the shipment when its already loaded into a trailer. And when the delivery arrived they refused to unpack and said sort it out with your broker!!!!!! As always customer (us) became a ball game tossed between the third party broker and the movers....(we had 2 moving company between pickup and delivery of our shipment) Currently we have applied for a claim for our damaged items but not hopeful at all after the experience we have had.
p.s: Double check on the insurance policy, please get the full replacement coverage. Again the amazing sales team misguided us to get the minimum coverage!!!!

Also they helped in un assembling all the furniture and assembling them back at the new place. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for movers. Thank you very much for your help First National Van Lines.

The price was very fair and the service was AMAZING. The movers were so helpful, very kind and polite, and very fast and efficient. They packed all of my things and moved them for me - I did not have to do a thing. I will definitely be using this company again for my next move!

The movers were experienced, professional and arrived right on time. They made sure all items were secured before moving the truck. The crew was amazing - they can move alot of stuff just the right way - gentle and attention to the details. An outstanding team and the best move I have ever had. Thanks to all.

These guys are awesome! Super courteous, very quick and careful. We have a ridiculously heavy couch (no joke - it weighs a ton). We've moved it twice before, maybe three times, and it always elicits groans and complaints (which I get! It's heavy!) But these guys were so nice about it. We will definitely be referring First National Van Lines to friends!

The price they quote you is the price you pay. The agent who helped me set up my move was not only attentive and pleasant, but every time I emailed him a question or adjustment, I heard back within the hour. The movers are beasts. They work hard, quickly and carefully. Both crews, both moves were excellent, polite and trustworthy.

Did a bit of negotiation and they lowered the rates... YES!!! Overall, I had a better-than-expected time with the First national van lines. They were timely and delivered well within the quoted time and this is an accomplishment by itself. The prizewinner in their service definitely has to be their fantastic service in itself, the customer service was indeed splendid.

Great moving experience! They were very detailed from the beginning when I called them to schedule the move and until the end. They were very kind, efficient and made our job of moving way easier. On the front end, setting everything up, I added stops and changed times and they worked seamlessly with me on everything. I would also recommend to anyone else I know that is moving.Thank you!

I was very happy with the service that I received from FNVL. The movers showed up early to get my things ready to be moved from state to state and my furniture actually arrived at my new home before I did. The peace of mind that they gave me was worth more than the service cost. When I move back home, I will be contacting them again.

Just a fantastic company to do business with. I moved my state even and they were incredibly helpful with everything, from packing the stuff to moving it. The logistics were fantastic and the price not too bad either. But the thing that really caught my attention was their quality of service. It feels humanly, real instead of being generic and that is the best thing about them.

Fortunately, my moving experience this time was not a disaster like they had been in the past. I have had to do a lot of moving around and for the most part, a majority of my experiences have been stressful and dysfunctional. However, this time was much different. Working with First National was such a dream. They were so helpful and kind and made my moving process as smooth as possible. They helped pack up my boxes and when we got to my new apartment, they offered to store them temporarily, so I didn’t have to stress about unpacking immediately.

After hearing from a friend how positive her experience with FNVL was, I decided to go with them and was very glad I did. I was nervous from having a bad experience with another company the last time I moved, but these guys were extremely helpful and put my mind at ease. Not only did they do everything in a timely manner, but the movers were friendly and very careful with my belongings. They patiently answered all my questions and handled my many fragile items with care. I didn’t even feel nervous watching them move my antique furniture! And that includes my 90-year-old, 6-foot mirror! Planning the move from Illinois to Savannah was stressful enough, but FNVL made it much easier.

First National Van Lines were great. They took a huge load off of my back and knees which was important because the stress of moving had been getting to me. Everything was well-packed with care and the rates were reasonable given the services and quality of those services. I appreciated their professionalism and did not doubt once that everything would make it to my new apartment in the condition it left my old apartment (which it did). All-in-all a great experience being that it was for a move. I would certainly use First National Van again and will suggest them to any family members considering a move.

Moving is never an easy thing and I hate having to tell the people I hire exactly what to do. Luckily, that wasn't necessary at all with First National Van Lines!

One of my biggest concerns was my HUGE collection of indoor plants. I know it sounds crazy, but I literally have THOUSANDS of dollars worth of plants, and there were a lot I couldn't fit into my car along with my two dogs. I was really withdrawn to the reality of losing some of them, but the movers handled them and packed them away so gently--I think maybe one lost a leaf.

Aside from that, the movers worked so quickly and efficiently; I knew at first glance that they were professionals, only ever speaking briefly in order to get the job done. They actually got to my new home before I did!

They did a fantastic job with our move. I really didn't expect these movers o be as efficient as they did turn out to be. I was expecting them to go about 20% over the estimated cost because I did have a little more stuff than I had said, but they were so generous with giving me an exemption with all the extra things. I'm really pleased with their service and timely delivery as well and would definitely recommend them to others.

Not only were First National Van Lines very professional, but also they offered really affordable services. To be honest, I was negotiating a little bit although their initial price was much lower than other companies' rates. I ended up with a quality and affordable service and the best thing is that I didn't waste time researching many other companies. I was referred to them by a good friend of mine and I cannot thank him enough for providing me with their contact. Their friendly attitude helped me feel better about my transition. They significantly reduced the stress level.

So i moved my family 2000 miles in december of 2018 and used First National Vanlines for this service. I reached out a gentleman named Jordan at there office and we spent and hour or so discussing all of available options i had. moving a 3 bedroom house with 4 kids was not something i wanted to do in a uhaul towing a car so i decided to let Jordan and his team at First National Vanlines take care of this. I spent 2 weeks preparing my own boxes and loading them as to save myself some money on packing materials. When the Moving team showed up aprox 9-10am they got started fast by sending in 2 guys to blanket wrap and pad wrap all of my furniture then sealing them all in plastic to prevent moisture ( thats smart! ). After everything was loaded we decided to buy the guys some pizza and just chat for a few abt how it works in travel. My items left that evening and i was told that i had 10 days to get to my new house to meet the truck. that was great we took a small trip to Six Flags on the way and when we arrived at the new house belive it or not the truck was parked in front of our new home ahead of us by 1 day. The crew began to accuratly put our boxes in the rooms they belonged in while 2 men unloaded furniture and one unwrapped it and placed the items were they belonged and folded up the moving pads. This was such a fun experience for my boys they kinda made friends with the moving guys and were exited to see them again at the new house my kids are wrestling fans and the movers were very strong big men but very polite and they werent bothered by them asking questions abt all the citys they had been in USA and other kid questions. My experience with First National Vanlines was 5/5 for sure and I highly recommend giving Jordan a call and letting him take care of your move as well. Thanks again FNVL for all your help!
