Finest Fellas Moving & Storage are scammers. They gave us a quote for the move, but on moving day, they told us it would be $2,200 more than what was originally quoted. When we asked for an explanation, no one could give us an answer. They added charges that were not in the contract and nobody explained why. Regarding punctuality, they told us they would arrive between 9 am and 12 pm, but they showed up at 4 pm. They said our belongings would arrive between Sunday and Monday, but they delivered everything on Tuesday. After arriving, they charged us $200 more for something that was not in the contract. They refused to accept bank transfers, only Zelle. Some of our things arrived broken. This company is a scam and extremely inconsiderate.

This company is a scam! Chris gave me an initial estimate that was almost too good to be true. Made real nice and friendly, but never responded to me again. Well, it was too good to be true. The estimator called and the price instantly doubled. Of course this is as the move is getting really close, so options are less. Then the movers show up and the guy instantly says this is 3 times as large as they thought. My cost then went to over $17k from $6800. The problem is that I closed on the house in 2 days. My options were gone. The company didn't care one bit. The movers that came to my home on delivery were great. That is the only good thing about my move. 6/27/2025 - Update - Now they are trying to cover their butts by denying I was a customer. The photo shows the first price increase. This is proof they are crooked! 6/29/2025 - They tried to buy my silence! They offered me $700 to take my review down. Then it went to $900. Then $1000. They know they are cheating people and do not want the negative reviews.

I would give zero stars if I could. TLDR: Scam broker. They lied about everything. Contract directly with Re Moving America LLC instead (240) 805-0723 and cut out the middleman. Note: I had much more detail but it exceeded the allowable number of characters and I couldn't post the whole write up. This is the abridged version. I first contacted Finest Fellas in January of this year to get a price on a move for my dad from NY to Florida. I had seen their ads on Facebook where they talked about the fact that they weren’t brokers and that you could get a firm binding quote from the owner by just calling the number. I had never done a move like this before and didn’t know anything about the process. I asked A LOT of questions. I probably spoke to Chase (the sales guy) at least a half a dozen times and also spoke with Mitchell Horowitz (one of the owners) once for about an hour. I wanted to make absolutely sure I was clear on the process and the costs, and that there were no surprises. The Finest Fellas team was very helpful and answered all my questions. My biggest concerns going in were 1) that they would quote me a low-ball number and then raise me the day of the move, and 2) that they were really a broker and would not take responsibility for the move from start to finish. During my MANY long discussions with the Finest Fellas team, they assured me that I was in good hands. They were very clear that as long as the manifest stayed the same, and that there were no changes after the final quote was given, there would be no surprises on the day of the move. We discussed the manifest at length, and the quote matched what we had discussed. I told them I needed them to pack everything (my dad is 95 and couldn’t do it and I was coming from Florida the day of the move and wouldn’t be able to handle the packing for him). They said it was no problem, and they included $537 in the quote for packing materials. They confirmed again that they were not brokers, but they had “agents” that they worked with and that they (Finest Fellas) were responsible for everything up through and including the move. I said I really wanted their employees, and that I would be flexible on the dates and times of the move to ensure that I was not subbed out to another mover. They said they’d make sure I got a great crew. The day of the move arrived, and a crew from Re Moving America showed up at around 12:15 (no Finest Fellas employees or truck in sight). The lead guy walked around the apartment and within 10 minutes presented me with a revised proposal for $1,200 more than what was quoted by Finest Fellas (43% upcharge). I said that wasn’t possible, since I had a sheet that matched everything in the apartment with a binding estimate from Finest Fellas and that there were no changes. He told me they hadn’t properly calculated the weight or the amount of packing materials that would be required to do the job properly. To my surprise, when I called Finest Fellas, none of the Horowitz’s were available to speak with me and their office manager said there was nothing they could do. At that point, I had no choice but to pay the graft and move forward. To say that I agreed under duress is an understatement. I will say that the team from Re Moving America did a very good job, and I would definitely use them again. They took great care with the packing, and there was only minor damage to one of the dressers (broken dresser panel which we can glue back together). I don’t think I can say this any more clearly…DO NOT USE FINEST FELLAS. They will tell you whatever they have to in order to get your money and ABSOLUTELY do not stand behind their promise.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! Everything I was told by them was a lie and I ended up getting charged double what I was quoted. First off, they told me that Finest Fellas did the loading and moving themselves and my stuff would be the only stuff in the truck... but no, some other company showed up and my stuff was packed in with 2 other people's. They didn't calculate enough space for my stuff so I had to leave behind about half of my inventory of large items because they wouldn't fit into the truck, but then somehow that made the cost double!? I tried talking to customer service and their excuse was that the weight was more than they had estimated... but HOW when they left behind an entire patio furniture set, 2 outdoor porch swings, a dresser, a storage bench... all things that I had on my original inventory list that I was quoted a price for!! And then, I was charged over $300 for "packing"... when I did my own packing! They didn't pack OR disassemble any of my things, I had it all done and ready to go myself!!! This company is a freaking joke. I'm a pregnant single mom of 3 and can't afford to be taken advantage of like this when my hands are tied because I had to get my stuff moved across the country and they knew that I didn't have any other options. I was also told that my stuff would be delivered within 3-5 days... and today makes day 10 and I have no idea where all my belongings are. This has been an absolutely terrible experience and I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone!!!!! Expect false advertising and major price changes if you hire them!!!! If I wanted a broker, I would've hired someone much cheaper, but they con you into thinking they're not a broker and then you pay triple what you would've paid a broker for the exact same services.

This is going to take a while. I was looking for a company that owned and handled the move directly and that was NOT a broker. I was told that I would see their trucks, their employees that were drug tested etc. I was given a price and said no thank you it's out of my budget. I had a very strict budget because this was an unexpected work move. After a supposed son and owner got on the phone and had me explain the situation he said if you love your dates up to a Monday Tuesday of the same week I'll meet you in the middle and we settled on a price. I was told not to worry they'd be with me every step of the way. The day before the move a DIFFERENT Company called me and said that they were handling the move. To say I stressed out was an understatement. I called Finest Fellas back and was told that was normal. This was a company that they "partnered" with. I kept repeating you brokered the move and they refused to say yes but this is exactly what they did even being verified by the company that moved us. Moving day arrives and it's $1,100 MORE because of the weight. The inventory stayed the same so we were back at the original price. LIARS is what they are. We now have 4 pieces of damaged furniture totalling over $1,000 to repair. Finest Fellas insurance company called today to say they can't handle The claim because Finest Fellas BROKERED the deal to another company and to deal with them. I do not know where all of these good reviews came from because they are a total fraud! The movers taped onto my white furniture and ripped the finish off. Split my footboard, damaged our entertainment center and chipped the veneer off of a meditation table. They were 3 days late where Finest Fellas promised a $30 a day perdium for that late arrival which I still haven't received that $90 either. I plan to leave a yelp and facebook review and hopefully spare someone else this horrible experience
