I would give this company ZERO stars if it was an option. We went through a moving broker to move out of state and ended up with Deluxe moving as the company who would move our stuff. Our pick up date was June 16th, I did not receive a bill of lading for everything they loaded on the truck, and our delivery date was supposed to be June 19th. It is now the 29th of September and our family still does not have our household goods. We received a phone call from a different transportation company telling us our stuff was going to be delivered on Thursday afternoon and our remaining balance to pay before they unload our stuff. That phone call was 3 weeks ago and we still haven't received our household goods delivery. I tried to call the number of the guy who called about my delivery but he never answered his phone. Over the past few months I have tried to call Deluxe and he never answers his phone or return voicemail. The office number is always busy. At this point I would expect my delivery to be free and be reimbursed for everything I have had to repurchase so my kids have clothes to wear and beds to sleep in. I will be contacting an attorney to pursue legal action.

We got everything we got but truck was very big one so we had to prepare ourselves so we did it in right way. My fellows were so busy so we decided to take everything quickly and we got all stuff nice and easy. My wife was so nice so we had everything busy. Thank you

I called Deluxe Moving Company and after a few emails exchange and a few phone calls. I hired them to do my moving from New Jersey to New York. My decision was based on the excellent, 5 star reviews I had read online. My move was scheduled for Friday, July 31,2020 at 2 pm. The distance between the 2 addresses is a little over of a 1-hour drive. The movers did not arrive until 8 pm that night. I had made several calls to the office and the excuse was that the team had gotten caught up on a previous job, but they were on their way to my apartment. I questioned the office team if the workers would still be able to do my move because of their delay and he simply said that “they are used to it and they will be fine.” I was forced to move my things outside the apartment, since there were other tenants coming in that same day. Also, we had an elevator reservation and a time limit to move things out, which were not obeyed. The movers finally arrived 6 hours later. They were rude, they did not wear masks and instead of starting to move the boxes, the supervisor wanted to discuss payment and fees. Unfortunately, at that point, I had already transferred them the full amount of the estimate. I just told him to please, start moving my boxes so we could get to the new address. The workers WERE NOT careful with my furniture and belongings and they seemed pretty upset to be working such late hours. After they had been there for about 1,5 hours, I informed them I was driving to the new address to wait for them. The new tenants were already occupying the old address and I kindly asked them to let the movers finish up removing the last things. I was later told by the new tenants, that the movers kept asking for food and beverages. I arrived at the new address at around 10:30 PM and waited in the car for the truck to arrive, since I arrived at a totally empty house. At11 PM I receive a phone call from the truck driver saying that he was heading to the Company’s garage and he would not deliver my move that night. I am now being left with no place to sleep, no clothes, and completely neglected at 11 PM on a Friday night after having waited for over 6 hours for the moving crew to arrive I tried calling the company’s office and could not get a hold of anyone. I had no choice but to book a Hotel and spend over 300 dollars to have a place to sleep. I sent a message to the company saying that I wanted my move the next morning, no later than 9 AM and that I wanted a different crew. The same team/ crew/ men arrived on Saturday at my house at around 11:30 AM. They were awful. They were not careful with my furniture, boxes and belongings, were not wearing masks. Many items were damaged, dirty, and ruined. At the end, the truck driver asked for more money which I refused to give him. I had to ask him to leave my house or else I would call the police. The man was EXTREMELY upset, screaming, asking for tips for his guys and did not want to leave my house. I had to lock myself into the house and waited several minutes until they finally left. The office team was aware of every single detail since I was communicating with the company’s office throughout the process. A week later, I send the company a report, including pictures of all the damaged items, receipts for all my expenses and a detailed description of my experience. I asked them to reimburse me for my expenses and to replace/ fix the other damaged items. On 08/26/2020, almost a month after the moving, I posted a review on Yelp since I did not have any solution yet. I had tried contacting them in many ways but got no response. After the review was posted, they contacted me threatening to sue me for defamation. Furthermore, they conditioned coming to my house to fix/ repair/ clean my damaged things, only after the removal of my review. They insisted that in order to have my items fixed/ replaced and my reimbursement processed, I would have to remove the review I wrote about the company on Yelp. I had given them many chances to do the right thing. I told Deluxe Moving Company I would be more than happy to make an amendment to my review if and when we come to a satisfactory and fair settlement. Unfortunately, that never happened. To this date, I am left without a solution. Ironically, my move was scheduled thru emails whose subject line was Deluxe Moving Reviews. They have sent me all 5-star reviews about their company when I first contacted them about my move, and they were the very reason why I decided to work with them. Sadly, my experience was nowhere near the ones described on the excellent reviews, so much like everyone else who has provided them with a review so far, I should be allowed to do the same even if I don’t have any good things to say. My review reflects only my honest opinion and factual description of the events of that unfortunate day. Truth is a complete defense and opinions are not defamatory. Please, hire a different company.

Let me first say that I never take the time to write reviews but I want to warn others. I hired Deluxe Movers in the month of September 2020. My move was from New Jersey to Tampa Florida. I sent pictures to sales rep Aron showing exactly what I needed moved and he provided a quote. On the day of the move AFTER they loaded all of my belongings that same quote went up $600 and I had no choice but to pay that difference upon delivery of my items. My move was delivered a few days later in Florida. They broke my mirrored nightstand and when I reached out to Aron letting him know I would like to file an insurance claim he responded that it will be taken care of but nothing was done.. We are now in October 2020 and no word and no care. A few days into unpacking my boxes I notice there are items missing out of my boxes (which were untaped upon delivery); 2 purses and a pair of gold earrings right out of my jewelry box. When confronted them about it of coarse they denied everything. I filed a police report for theft and still no word or call or anything from them on how to make this right. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU.
