DO NOT USE THEM! Scam business C- BBB rating Scam moving company. They promise everything over the phone and then have you sign a contract that negates everything you discussed. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I have to take them to court to get my things! IT'S BEEN WEEKS AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY THINGS! They contracted with a moving company that has an F rating on the BBB. Authority Moving has a C- rating on BBB. Oh, and if you get David Thomas or Brinae, call the cops--the worst scam artists I have ever come across!!! They increased the price 2x, and I still don't have my things. I have to take them to court to get my property AND my money back. These folks should not be allowed to be in business.

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM. THEY PLAY WITH YOU VERY SMARTLY. THEY GAVE YOU VERY LOW ESTIMATE AND THEN TAKE THE DEPOSIT FROM YOU WHICH IS AROUND 33 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL MOVING COST. THEY HAVE A VERY TRICKY CONTRACT, SO YOUR DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDABLE. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. ALL OF THE REVIEWS THEY PUT ON THEIR WEBSITE ARE FAKE. I AM REPORTING THIS TO DOT AND ATTORNEY GENERAL OF FLORIDA. ALSO, FILING A LAW SUITE AGAINST THEM TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

SCAM third party company. I will file a lawsuit with them. Please be advised to anyone who sees this, they will lowball you acting like a moving company and once you pay a deposit, they will not refund, lie, hire random people, then they scam the moving company they hire and it all comes out of your own pocket. I ended up paying five times more what they quoted at the end and they only moved a quarter of the items (with all the exact measurements I gave them promising me to move everything on my list with the lowball quote I believed) they will be friendly at first and will trick you. Contract disappears in your email later on once you pay the deposit so make sure to save it before. Glad I did so I can file my lawsuit. They also pretend to give you a discount at first to lure you in. Had no idea this was a broker company then they scam you and the moving company they hire. The current moving company cannot get a hold of them at all regarding the deposit money so it’s coming out of my pocket. Amaya is the customer service rep, Steven is the first who lured me in with the low ball deposit, and “customer service manager” there who lies about when movers are going to show up. I’m so glad I saved voice records with all of their voices and promises. BEWARE of this scam company.

Also known as Century Moving Group My initial conversation with Kyle, made everything sound swift and easy-going, he was obviously trying to get me to buy in so everything sounded great, he sent me a quote that same night which I had included everything I was going to have move, and said the price shouldn't change from that. The night before my move (9/28/20), Heather and Jessica Chieffalo (dispatch dept. supervisor) called me to confirm my move for the following day. Jessica specifically stated the price would NOT change, and if it does, to contact her, because "The guys could just throw it on the back, it's not a problem" I wanted to make clear of this as I was paying CASH and would have only the amount I was told. Well the next day after they packed everything up, they wanted to tell me it was going to equal a total of $600 EXTRA, which I had to pay $300 up front and the rest at drop off. I called Jessica, no response, even called her 2 days later, messaged her, NO response I had been trying to contact their customer service since this happened. Every time I spoke with someone, they always said they would "look into it and call me back" I spoke with Heather, Mike Harris, Nina (multiple times) about this and NOBODY ever called me back. The day before my furniture finally arrived (Took 2 months to ship from CT to CA) I called Nina and she told me that her and Jessica were having a meeting about my situation and would call me back before 3pm E.S.T, I never received a call back. I called the next 2 days and spoke with another person who said Nina was not there and doesn't know when or how I could get in contact to find out what happened. I had to end up paying the extra $600, nobody ever helped me look into this and nobody ever called me back. The movers were very professional themselves, but my mirror was broken upon arrival. I would NOT recommend this company as you will not be able to get any answers from these people and FALSE PRICING

I would give them zero stars if possible. Anyone who says they had a good experience with Authority is either fake or worked with a different Authority Moving Company. I moved from Illinois to Kansas and hired Authority Moving to handle it. You would have thought I was moving to the moon. First, they are not movers. They are brokers. They don't advertise this fact on their website. This is a company that does not care about whether or not a job gets done. And I'm not even talking about done right; I just mean done. They subcontracted our job to a terrible moving company and then proceeded to wash their hands of it when the move went bad. Our pick-up took four days because the moving company didn't bring a big enough truck. It took them three days to come with another truck. The drop off was 10+ days late. Despite me having a contract with Authority to coordinate the move, they did absolutely nothing. Their customer service people were either patronizing or just plain belligerent. They take no responsibility for their subcontractors, despite them having a contract with them. Oh, and the cost of my move was about 60% higher than Authority's estimate because they have no control over what the actual moving company charges. Again, they don't tell you this at any point. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are the very definition of deceptive and simply don't care about their customers. It would be easier if you rented a U-Haul yourself.
