***DO NO USE THIS MOVING COMPANY*** My husband and I are both military veterans. We have moved (relocated) 20+ times. This is absolutely the Worst move. June 2, 2022, I contacted American Moving Pros, I spoke with a rep name Lebron. Lebron seemed rather professional and stated he will tell us everything we need to know and there will be no hidden fees, or any question(s) not answered. Apparently, that was not the case. I took very clear notes of the conversations. I specifically told Lebron our son needs his belongings No Later Than July 22, 2022, and that they can pick up whenever, as long as his things were there by that date. Lebron stated that they will need to P/u by July 18th. I replied, not a problem and that they could p/u sooner if required. Our son was moving to North Carolina from Florida (school related). Lebron stated the move would be $1880.00, but he would ask his mgr for the discount of $$630.00 because they already had a vehicle going in that direction and it would just be a pickup. The discount was approved. Of course, my husband and I was ecstatic as we were both on the phone with Lebron. Lebron stated the total would be $1,250.00 + taxes, tolls and fuel charges. The new total came to $1,450.37. Labron stated it was $400.00 down then $525.00 at p/u and $525.00 at delivery. ***That was NOT the case*** The day of p/u, the first thing to driver stated was (Not good morning), but that the cost just increased $100,00 for steps. Our son called and informed us of this "change". Lebron asked what floor and I told Lebron that our son lives on the 2nd. floor. The driver stated, "either you can pay it, or I can leave, but that's the cost". Then the driver stated that he does not have the proper box to pack our son's belongings. I told the driver that Lebron stated that he would include additional boxes for our son. Well...that was foreign to the driver. He stated, "We do not provide boxes because that's additional charge and boxes are not free". The driver then stated, "I am gonna have to charge you more because of the cubic feet". Now, my husband and I are getting upset as this is NOT what Lebron told us. We Clearly told him our son what our son had in his apt. It's a 1 (one) bedroom apt... nothing extra. We contacted Lebron, he answered and said "He would contact the driver and get back with us"...That Never happened. We called Moving Pros and requested to speak to the mgr. Eli stated he was the mgr. He then stated he would contact the driver and call us back. After a while, he did. Eli stated he tried to reach Lebron, but he did not answer. After explaining what Lebron told us, Eli said that was not correct. Really! After multiply calls back and forth, of course the cost not only increased, but more than Doubled. Pick/up went for $525.00 to $1050.00. Delivery went for $525.00 to $1050.00 also. Keep in mind we already paid $400.00 deposit. Our bill went from $1450.37 to $2500.00. Then they had the audacity to tell us that we can cancel...Really? Our son had to get to Duke University by July 22nd. How rude and disrespectful. To add fuel to fire, they did NOT deliver as Promised. On the 26th we received an email stating "Moving is on the way between July 26-28. UNBELIEVABLE. They finally arrived. Furniture was scratched up and damaged. The movers took smoke breaks and sat on our son's furniture, they asked for payment upon delivery... supposed to be upon completion. They wore "slides", no proper/professional gear. They did not have proper tools to put furniture together, they had to borrow our son tools. They threw boxes and pillows on the floor, and they Did Not speak English. Today is September 5th and to date they have NOT refunded us for scratched/damages to furniture. Our son Sent pics and filled out the report which stated it would take 5-7 Business days to refund. THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED, and it's been OVER a month and half. I will also contact BBB because No-one (or parent) should ever experience this.
I had hired this fantastic moving team for my recent relocation and I am quite satisfied with the whole process. They were responsive, communicative and helpful. It was one of the easiest long distance moves I have ever experienced. I highly recommend them and will use them again the next time I move.
This moving team did an efficient job. They came in on the scheduled time and wrapped everything up and packed up the truck in a perfect manner. My family was so impressed by the service provided by them. The price was quite affordable too. I would will definitely be using them again for my next move.
These movers are outstanding. They handled my furniture and belongings with utmost care. They moved me out and got me settled in my new place in a timely manner. All my items were delivered in pristine condition. I highly recommend this moving service.
